Sales & Marketing Engineer - Electrical Switchgear

Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales and Marketing Engineer for our team at Ocean Wind Switchgear & Trading Establishment LLC in Muscat. In this role you will engage directly with customers — from initial contact through to site visits when required — build and maintain strong relationships, present technical solutions and quotations, track prompt payments, and consistently meet or exceed monthly sales targets. You’ll work closely with our engineering team to understand customer needs, propose appropriate switchgear and electrical system solutions, and take ownership of your sales pipeline in a dynamic power-distribution environment (4-6 years’ experience preferred).

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, providing a solid technical foundation.
• 4-6 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role within the electrical switchgear industry, showcasing proven expertise.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and industry standards, enabling informed discussions with clients.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities :

• Identify potential clients and business opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team to develop and customise electrical systems that align with client specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and quotations by providing accurate technical data and product recommendations.
• Perform site surveys and assessments to evaluate existing electrical systems and identify opportunities for upgrades or improvements.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
• Maintain and update a list or record of ongoing sales opportunities
